st. peter asked the old lady a cake from store of cakes. The reaction was that the lady was selfish. She made a thin cake to give him. but it seems her large to be given. so, she put this cake too on the shelf.

The lady was very greedy and selfish So it is difficult to say what sehe would have done if she had known the saint peter. Perhaps, she would have given him some cake to eat.

Once saint peter was travalling in the northland for preaching. He felthungry due to fasting. He came to the door of a cottage where an old woman was making cakes. St. peter asked for a cake. The lady was very greedy. So she put the small piece of cake on the shelf. She didn't offer him a single cake. At this saint grew angry and turned her to a woodpecker. Now this bird gets her food by making holes in the wood.
