Cruelty to Animals
Short Articles
Cruelty to Animals
Yesterday I was very disappointed to see a painful accident on a road was caused by a stray cow. Now a day, it is very common in metro cities. Many of stray animals wander here to there on roads and cause serious road accidents. The problems of stray dogs in colonies are even listed. Most of them are pets but they are not kept in right manner and they leave as a stray. Many metro cities face such problems.
A few heartily who love the creatures they feed them, provide shelters and pet them as a family members. This love to creature is viewable somewhere. They provide them all medical facilities and nutritional food, but some show cruelty towards these speechless creatures. They deal in very badly manner. I think this is a crime against them. They also have right to live and get love and sympathy. After getting love and sympathy animals feel them.

New Delhi,
The role of judiciary is very important now a days. Many of historical decisions are made by our indian judiaciary to improve the dullness of our system. The role of judiciary was brought into focus when several cases and scams involving VIPs and VVIPs were brought to light either by the CBI or through some public interest litigations.

Some of people generate money from illegal sources like smuggling, drugs bussiness, illegal real estates bussiness, black marketing, other unknown sources and unaccounted way. The country runs by taxes paid by the people. But black money disturbs the system which causes a failure of economy. All the development programmes runs on the tax money in the country, so black money is a distructor in the development as well as growing economy. Women population is about fifty percent of the total population of wolrd. And they have much contributions to form/build a society as much as men. But they have not got such rights they should have got. Even that, the birth of a girl child is considered as unfortunate and tin in our society. Some where girls foetuses are terminated from mother or they are killed after birth. They are treated in very poor manner. This is unfortunate of our society that the women who ruined their lives to build their families. Need of Afforestation
Q.1. You are Nidhi, a member of “Environment Club” of your school.
Write an article on “Need of Afforestation” in the present day world.
Solution:
Afforestation : The Need of the Hour
[An article by Nidhi]
We are living in the modern age of development where we have left everything behind in the mad race of development. The race of development has made us take the mother earth for granted and as a result, we have started cutting the trees mindlessly to meet our present requirements.
Threes are considered to be the “Powerhouse of Evolution” and they are helpful to in a many ways. They not only provide us fresh oxygen but, they also reduce pollution absorbing carbon from the atmosphere. They are helpful in reducing global warming, besides, they are the constant source for furniture, paper, medicines, firewood, etc. It’s a matter of great concern that the trees are cut in large numbers for human settlements, papers and fire wood. If the present trend of cutting trees is not checked then we will have to face dire consequences.
It is, thus, the need of the hour that we should plant more and more trees. The government should start a large-scale campaign to make people aware about the importance of trees. Like the literaly campaign of “Each one Teach one”, it should be the prime duty of everyone to “Plant a tree on his/her birthday.”
Use & Abuse of Examination
Q1. Write an article on the topic - “Use & abuse of Examination.”
Answer :
Use & Abuse of Examination
Examination paves our way and provide a real test of knowledge and education. Someone has rightly said that the gold begins to melt when it is put to the test to fire. The moment we enter examination hall, we begin to stagger and our mind becomes full of anxiety and confusion. The students can be seen under a peculiar grip of fear with their mind and soul under stress and tension.
We should always remember that our worthy teachers and students work very hard round the year. If no examinations are to be held periodically, none would be able to know the result of their fruitful labour. Furthermore the examinations present a goal before us and we become aware about the amount of work to be completed with stipulated time. Examinations are the real tools that inspire us and inculcate in as well planned habit of studying. They lay down before the parents and society an assessment of the students. In this way examinations are very important. People think that examinations are not
only terrible things but evil things also. They destroy our self confidence and give us inferiority complex. They do not test our merit or knowledge but our capacity of retaining facts in our mind. It has also observed that the brilliant students find themselves down while dullards get top marks. This makes the students crippled and tension ridden.
We cannot do away with the examination. They need reforms and
improvement. If the paper setters, examiners and examinees are careful enough, a great reform can occur in the system.
How to write an article for exams for good marks
What is an article?
An article
• is a piece of writing usually intended for publication in a newspaper, magazine or journal
• is written for a wide audience, so it is essential to attract and retain the readers’ attention
• may include amusing stories, reported speech and descriptions
• can be formal or informal, depending on the target audience
• should be written in an interesting or entertaining manner
• should give opinions and thoughts, as well as facts
• is in a less formal style than a report
An article can
• describe an experience, event, person or place
• present an opinion or balanced argument
• compare and contrast
• provide information
• offer suggestions
• offer advice
A realistic article should consist of:
1. an eye-catching title which attracts the readers’ attention and suggests the theme of the article. (Think about why you read a magazine or newspaper article recently - what made you read it?) Articles can also have subheadings before each paragraph.
2. an introduction which clearly defines the topic to be covered and keeps the reader’s attention.
3. the main body of two to five paragraphs in which the topic is further developed in detail.
4. the conclusion - summarising the topic or a final opinion, recommendation or comment.
REMEMBER
Before you begin writing it is important to consider:
• where is the article going to appear - in a newspaper or magazine?
• who are the intended readers - a specific group such as students or teenagers, or adults in general?
• what is the aim of the article - to advise, suggest, inform, compare and contrast, describe, etc.?
These three points are the deciding factors in the layout of your article, its style, language and level of formality.
Determine the information you are going to use and organize your ideas carefully into paragraphs. Each paragraph should have a clear topic sentence.
The article could be formal, semi-formal or informal, depending on your intended audience.
Use vocabulary and descriptive language appropriate for the article. Linking words and expressions, and a variety of vocabulary will only improve your work and make it more interesting.
DO NOT use over-personal or over-emotional language or simplistic vocabulary.
DO NOT talk about yourself. You are writing for the general public, not a close circle of friends. Your opinions are only interesting to other people if you can make them amusing, justify them or explain them.
WRITING TITLES
A title is absolutely necessary when writing an article, and should be a concise summary of the information which is going to follow in the article. In other words, the main topic of the article should be stated in the title.
Stimulating the reader’s interest is also essential - if the title looks uninteresting, why would anyone read it? There are various ways to achieve this. For example, if you are writing a description of a place, using adjectives can enhance the attractiveness of the place, before the reader begins reading the article, e.g. “The Tranquillity and Peace of an Island that Time Forgot”. If the task involves proposing a solution to a problem or your opinion, and so on, you can address your audience directly, e.g. “What You Need to Do to Be Successful”, or use a question such as “Is Learning English Really Necessary Today?” for the title. In more formal articles, it is more common to just summarise the topic in a short statement, e.g. “Laughter Can Improve Our Health”. The title should not be too long and should mirror the style of the article - formal or informal.
Global Warming Cause and Effects
What is global warming?
Global warming is the warming near the earth's surface those results when the earth's atmosphere traps the sun's heat. The earth is getting warmer. The changes are small, so far, but they are expected to grow and speed up. Within the next fifty to one hundred years, the earth may be hotter than it has been in the past million years. As oceans warm and glaciers melt, land and cities along coasts may be flooded. Heat and drought may cause forests to die and food crops to fail. Global warming will affect weather everywhere, plants and animals everywhere, people everywhere; humans are warming the earth's atmosphere by burning fuels, cutting down forest, and by taking part in other activities that release certain heat trapping gases into the air.
Causes of global warming
One major cause of global warming is the use of fossil fuels. Fossil fuels like coal, oil, and natural gas that were formed from the remains of plant material deposited during the earth's carboniferous period. We have known for only a few thousand years that coal, oil, and natural gas can be burned to provide energy. It was not until the mid-1800s, however, that we began to burn very large quantities of these fossil fuels. The worldwide consumption of fossil fuel has increased dramat.
Unfortunately, burning fossil fuels is not the only thing that we humans are doing to increase the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. In many parts of the world today, forests are being destroyed at an alarming rate. Enormous numbers of trees are being cut down, both to provide timber and to clear the land for farming or ranching. This destructive process is called deforestation. In order to clear forests for agriculture, people cut down and burn all the trees in area. When the flames die down, nothing is left but acres of blackened, lifeless countryside. The fire destroys all the plants and kills or drives off the animals. Because there has been little attempt to replant trees in deforested areas, the world's forests are disappearing very quickly.
How to Reduce effects of global warming
If we can reduce the greenhouse gases going into the atmosphere, we probably can slow the rate of global warming and climate. There are a number of things that we can do to prepare for the changes that are coming. If we act now, perhaps we can "soften the blow" of the greenhouse effect. In the future, the weather cold change much more dramatically from year to year than it does now. As global warming alters habitats, many kinds of animals will be on the move, but all sorts of barriers will stand between them and a new place to live. To help animals get around these barriers, it might be necessary to set up migration corridors that connect natural areas with one another. Without human intervention, many kinds of plants also may not survive as the earth's climate changes. Forests, in particular, may need our help. If climate changes come rapidly, few tree species will be able to spread into new areas fast enough to keep up with changing conditions.
Effect of global warming on nature | natural calamities
Glaciers are large, thick masses of slow-moving ice that persist from year to year. They cover about a tenth of the earth's land surface. The vast ice sheets of Antarctica and Greenland account for most of this area. Smaller ice caps are found in Scandinavia, Caffin Island, Iceland, and elsewhere. In addition, there are tons of thousands of valley glaciers that follow stream channels down mountain slopes. All together, glaciers contain about seventy-five percent of the available fresh water of the earth. Because global warming is expected to be greatest in polar and temperate regions, scientists expect the glaciers to melt more rapidly than they do today. An executive summary of a United Stations survey published in 1990 concluded that if worldwide "business as usual" continues, the resulting global temperature increased would produce mean sea-level rise of about twenty-five inches by the end of the next century. Other studies predict such increases will occur as soon as 2040. Much depends on how fast the polar ice melts. If global warming accelerates and the ice melts faster than expected, ocean levels may rise as much as ten feet by 2100.
Cricket is a Religion in Our Country
Cricket is not only the most popular game in our country but also It has been a general sport game. We can see it in our countryside and small and big city. We also enjoy gali cricket when we free. Even not only children play this game but also youngs and old men also take intrest for playing. It is played in every nook and cranny of the country. A victory for India is celebrated with much aplomb and a defeat is mourned by the country, the cricketing champions are worshipped as gods in the country. We have been seen this during Sachin Tendular as a popular cricketer. The obsession with cricket in India can be sensed by the recent World Cup win by India. The celebrations were carried on for days and days. There are a special filling after winning the match.
Increasing the craze of cricket in yougsters is a good sign for indian games and sport. Sons and daughters were chided their not to play any game and it was heared to take mind on only study. But now-a-days most of youngter select sports and game as a carrier after popularity of cricket. We can say this happen due to cricket. Thousands of Indians prayed that India would emerge as victorious in the match and when India did win the cup, people everywhere in the country burst crackers and distributed sweets. The players were showered with love and adulation. Our country may be divided into classes, castes and religions but it is the love for cricket that unifies the entire country and hence cricket can be described as a religion itself.
