- Connect the sentences using given linkers :-
a. He is so weak.
He can’t run fast. (Too …..To)
He is too weak to run fast.
b. Gopi was very lean.
He can’t lift this box. (Too …..To)
- You are so lazy.
You can’t be success. (Too …..To)
- This box is very heavy.
It can’t be left. (Too …..To)
- Water is so hot.
It can’t be touched. (Too …..To)
- Milk is very cold.
It can’t be drunk. (Too …..To)

- Connect the sentences using given linkers :-
- He worked hard.

Combine the following pair of sentences:-
- Using ‘both ………..and’.
- Tagore was a philosopher.
He was also a poet.
- She is fond of singing.
She is also fond of dancing.
- Using ‘as well as’:
- He is a poet.
You are a poet.
- She is illiterate.
Her parents are illiterate.
- I am in the right.
You are in the right.
- Using ‘not only ………. But also’.
- Trees supply us with many of the conveniences of daily life.
They also support the life of living beings.
- Students should pay attention to their studies.
They should take a keen interest in school activities.
- Using ‘Inspite of ’.
- They did their best.
But they could not trace the boy.
- He has failed many times.
He still hopes to succeed.
- He came late.
He was not punished.
- Using ‘Instead of ’.
- They were to go to station.

- Using ‘neither………nor’.

(b) She does not like tea.

- Using ‘but ; although ; though’ :-

- Using ‘Otherwise’:-
- Make haste.
You will be late.
- Do it.
I shall punish you.
(c) She must weep.
She will die.
11. Using ‘as’.
- His wife burnt the toast.
She got angry.
- Our team won the match.
The Principal gave us a holiday.
- I could not find the key.
I broke open the box.
12. Using ‘as soon as ’.
(a) He finished his breakfast.
He went to the office.
(b) You will hear the signal.
Start immediately.
- I got his address.
Immediately I went to see him.
- Using ‘than’.
- She is tall.
Her sister is not so tall.
- Hydrogen is light.
Air is not so light.
- A wise enemy is good.

14. Using ‘when’.
